It is a perfect day when we can spend it on the lake, boating or swimming around the dock with our dogs. There is nothing better than warm summer days on the lake with family, friends, and our dogs.
Our dogs are part of the family so why would any of us chose to leave them behind, especially knowing that they love being on the boat, swimming and chasing balls from sun up to sunset? This is a dilemma for most lake bound weekenders. Dogs love boats and they love jumping off the dock. However, the boat does not have a dog boat ramp and the dock is too high to pull them out of the water. Trying to lift a wet dog every 5 minutes takes a toll on us physically.
As we cruise around the lake or sit in a hammock on the dock, we think to ourselves "this is heaven, the perfect day". Nevertheless, something is missing and we remember. The dogs are not with us.
